A webinar with Andrew Hale
What if the most important question isn't "How do I stop this behaviour?" but "How does my dog feel?"
Behaviour is communication—but what is your dog trying to tell you?
Rather than focusing solely on changing behaviour, Andrew Hale invites us to understand the emotional experiences that drive it. By seeing the world from the dog's perspective, we can make choices that support both welfare and learning.
"Behaviour is a symptom, not the problem."
— Andrew Hale
In this inspiring webinar, Andrew introduces the principles of Dog Centred Care and explores how understanding a dog's emotional experience can transform the way we support them.
During the webinar, Andrew will explore topics such as:
Understanding the dog's lived emotional experience
Social attachment and relationships
How sensory processing influences behaviour
Why a trauma-informed approach matters
Supporting puppies, adolescents and adult dogs through life's challenges
Helping dogs who struggle around other dogs or unfamiliar people
Looking beyond behaviour to understand the emotions driving it
Using science, practical examples, videos and real-life case studies, Andrew will demonstrate how small changes in the way we understand behaviour can make a significant difference to a dog's wellbeing.
"Safety is not a reward. It's a prerequisite for learning."
— Andrew Hale
Whether you are a dog owner, instructor, trainer or behaviour professional, this webinar will give you new perspectives, practical knowledge and plenty of food for thought.
